Understanding the Learning Styles

Understanding your learning style and the styles of those with whom you relate has the power to change your life! This knowledge can enable you to have a greater appreciation for your own uniqueness and that of others. It will also allow you to relate to others with greater effectiveness and will give you freedom to be the person you were designed to be!

Learning styles specialist, Cynthia Ulrich Tobias, M.Ed., defines the term learning styles as "natural, inborn strengths and characteristics" that each individual possesses. Our learning style affects how we understand and organize information. It helps us decide what makes sense and what is important to us.

All "Understanding the Learning Styles" seminar participants are given the opportunity to complete Dr. Anthony Gregorc's Style Delineator, a well-constructed profiling instrument, to determine their individual learning style. According to Dr. Gregorc, individuals generally are dominant in any of the four styles: concrete sequential, abstract random, abstract sequential, and concrete random. The easy-to-understand explanation of each learning style provides participants with valuable insights into themselves as well as their relationships with others.

"Understanding the Learning Styles" is crucial for those who are interested in learning how to better relate to others in everyday life -- whether it be at home, school, work or any other place where you interact with people. It truly has the power to "revolutionize" your life!

This 2-hour training is included in each of the seminars/workshops offered, but may also be provided independently.
